Aryan Nazism was not essentially white supremacist but rather nativist supremacist, believing in the superiority of the root/original races. Nazis maintained that they, as “Aryans” were the Original People, and this unadulterated originality and their ‘sacred’ connection to ancestral land/nature was the source of their superiority. The key problem is that the same argument that Nazis used (based on the entitlement of racial Originality) is used by the Aboriginal sovereignty movement. If the Voice wins, then Nazi ideology wins an implicit endorsement by the Australian people, and then they will be able to use it in Europe again, by asserting the moral priority of European natives over all migrants and genetic outsiders.
