Green sustainable development plans are based on government rooted in the lebensraum tradition.
Lebensraum means "living space” it was originally developed by German geographer Friedrich Ratzel (1844-1904) and then greatly expanded under the banner of National Socialism (1933-1945).
The National Socialist German Workers' Party (Nazis) was the first to introduce sustainable forestry practices and created what is today called sustainable development that included a great concern for recycling.
Even the 4 Year Nazi war plan was to be guided by sustainable development concerns.
In 1935, the Nazis passed the totalitarian Reich Nature Protection Act which opened the door to ecological regulation over private property.
Nazi leadership ardently championed renewable energy.
The Nazi environmentalism program was actually grounded in the same racist worldview that shaped the Holocaust.
